On April 14 this year
our Puzzler was based on a series of 27 digits, comprising
three complete sets of the nine numbers 1 to 9, and set out in such
a way that exactly n digits lie between each adjacent pair of
n-value digits. To make up the problem, only the three 8s were
identified at the outset.
Crowthorne reader Jim Moyles has been studying this series and
suggest an analogous Puzzler: Take a slighly larger series of 30
numbers, comprising three complete sets of the 10 numbers 1 to 10,
and lay them out such that exactly n digits lie between each
adjacent pair of n-value digits.
