Dell is being made to honour sales to thousands of people that
bought 19-inch LCD monitors for under £10 in Taiwan after it
advertised them at the wrong price.
Dell was supposed to offer the monitors at a heavily discounted
£89 but put them on for under £10 by mistake, according to
PC World.com.
Although the wrong price was only applied for eight hours,
26,000 people placed orders for 140,000 monitors.
Dell has been ordered by the Consumer Protection Commission to
make the sales at the price advertised after people complained.
In a statement, Dell apologised and said it will offer
reasonable discounts to the orders received under the wrong
price.
