Jerry Fishenden, Microsoft UK's national technology officer, is
stepping down after five years in the role and nearly 12 years with
Microsoft.
A prolific speaker and commentator on IT issues, particularly
with respect to public policy, Fishenden was a key member of the
team that guided Microsoft's technology strategy.
In an email announcing his departure on 17 June, he said: "There
are some unique and exciting career opportunities externally at
present for me to take up, about which you will doubtless hear more
over coming months."
He will continue to lecture at the London School of Economics,
where he is a senior visiting fellow, and promises his
blog, tweets and other media
activities will continue unabated.
