
US president-electBarack Obamahas hired a Google
executive and a Washington high-tech lobbyist and entrepreneur to
help drive his transition team.
Technology advancement and innovation was a key theme of Obama's
"Change" programme. Obama has hired Google.org's Sonal Shah, and
Julius Genchowski, a former IAC/InterActiveCorp executive.
Shah formerly served as a vice-president at Goldman Sachs, while
Genachowski previously served at the Federal Communications
Commission. He was also at Harvard Law School with Obama. He is
involved in a number of US companies, covering banking, technology
and publishing.
