European equity trading venue
Turquoise Trading has selected
Atlanta
Technology to support its complete corporate network and
disaster recovery needs.
Atlanta Technology, the hosted technology specialist, has
successfully deployed the corporate network infrastructure for
Turquoise Trading, the new European equity trading venue.
Atlanta Technology has implemented a secure hosted virtual
server model to manage Turquoise's complete corporate IT needs.
Founded by nine of Europe's largest investment banks, Turquoise
launches this month.
In total, Atlanta Technology has deployed 70 PCs with 14 hosted
servers, which includes e-mail servers, domain controllers, and a
remote FalconStor CDP disaster recovery solution.
The deployment also includes a
BlackBerry mobile server to support Turquoise's 30-plus
devices, a terminal server, a Microsoft Office SharePoint Server
and a CRM server.
Yann L'Huillier, chief technology officer at Turquoise Trading,
said, "In our industry, network uptime and data security is
critical and, as a result, we partnered with Atlanta Technology to
deliver a highly resilient infrastructure that can fully scale as
we grow.
"When establishing a corporate network you have two choices to
build and maintain your own IT centre and load the organisation
with high overheads and capital expenditure, or you can choose a
hosted model and work with an IT partner that has the skill to
deliver a high quality infrastructure, that meets all the required
regulations and is fully maintained."
He said, "By opting for the hosted model, we are able to
concentrate on our core trading business needs, whilst Atlanta
looks after our overall IT network requirements."
