Topic The potential of convergence for small-
to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
Time 11.00am
Date Live Wednesday 7 June 2006
Duration 60 minutes
Description
Convergence has been around in some form since the early 1990s
but it’s only recently that the full extent of the potential
benefits of convergence for SMEs has become apparent.
SMEs that can harness the power of converged IP networks that
support both voice and data applications will ultimately become
more adaptable and flexible in the face of market and economic
pressures and, crucially, more competitive.
Essentially, convergence will enable SMEs to achieve two very
desirable business objectives: cost reduction and revenue
growth.
Yet convergence can’t just be installed; the full potential of
converged networks can only be realised by deft deployment of an
effective convergence strategy.
This webinar will
- look at the overall what's and the why's of convergence
- suggest the general benefits that SMEs can expect
- explain the benefits to be gleaned from a converged
network
- propose suitable return on investment paths
- show how the potential of convergence can be realised
to transform SMEs
