Residents of Halton on Merseyside are being kept up to
date with web-based information taken fromHalton
Council's street furniture.
Using a web interface, live service information in the council's
Mayrise street works and street lighting systems is
automatically published on the council website.
This gives customer-facing staff, residents and visitors instant
access to detailed map-based information, such as road closures and
traffic restrictions.
"Mayrise already delivers proven back-office solutions within
Halton that increase operational efficiencies, reduce
administration and improve the provision of service to our
customers and third-party contractors," said Stephen Rimmer,
traffic and street lighting manager.
"By sharing live service information contained within such
systems with non-specialist staff and directly with visitors to the
council's website, we are able to build on these achievements and
continually improve both communication and service levels."
Visitors to the Halton Online facility can search using an
address, interactive mapping tools or pre-set locations within the
borough.
They can discover the location of CCTV cameras, public transport
facilities and libraries, for example, plus more detailed
information for development and planning, roadworks and other
frontline service areas.
The website also allows visitors access to the webcams on the
Silver
Jubilee Bridge over the Mersey to assess current traffic
conditions.
