West Lindsey District Council in Lincolnshire is
supporting more flexible working by staff with a new security
system.
The
identity and access management (IAM) system from Enline
delivers secure network access and provides
single sign-on authentication for all applications.
Council workers are currently able to access network resources
from multiple locations, such as the main council offices or
terminals based in public amenities such as in libraries or church
halls.
But network access involves a number of different security
password/log-in processes which differ depending on the location,
which is why Enline was brought in.
West Lindsey was keen to create a more seamless and consistent
log-in experience for its staff, as well as offer greater
flexibility and improved security for home based workers.
Enline specified the
Imprivata OneSign system and
Digipass one time password (OTP) tokens from Vasco, which,
together, replace network passwords with two-factor authentication
for staff from any location.
