The Department of Work and Pensions has awarded a £400m
contract to a consortium led by
Xerox for printing services.
The consortium, iON, which also includes EDS, Accenture, CEVA
Logistic, Remploy, The Stationery Office and TNT, will provide
services to DWP for seven years.
Under the contract DWP has an option to extend for another three
years. The deal will result in substantial savings, the DWP
said.
“Xerox and its partners will provide us with a streamlined and
coherent solution to DWP’s current and future needs for print,
publicity material and associated services. This will give us
improved value for money, greater efficiency and a vehicle for
continuous improvement,” said David Smith, DWP’s commercial
director.
