Grisoft expands open source security offering

Grisoft has expanded its AVG range of open source anti-virus protection products.

The products include AVG Email Server Edition 7.5 for Linux/FreeBSD, now with integrated anti-spam.

There is also AVG Anti-Virus Professional Edition 7.5 and AVG File Server Edition 7.5 for Linux/FreeBSD.

The release strengthens Grisoft’s commitment to alternative operating systems, including support for FreeBSD.

“Small businesses are using alternative operating systems like GNU/Linux and FreeBSD for e-mail, web and file server applications along with Windows-based workstations,” said Larry Bridwell, vice-president of global security strategies at Grisoft.

AVG Anti-Virus Professional Edition 7.5 for Linux/FreeBSD is priced at £17.95 per user. A license for AVG Email Server Edition 7.5 for Linux/FreeBSD costs £327.95, and includes 50 e-mail accounts.

AVG File Server Edition 7.5 for Linux/FreeBSD is priced at £190.95 and includes 50 concurrent connections to the server.

All prices include a two-year licence and free technical support.
