Symantec buys UK datacentre consultancy

Symantec is to acquire Company-i, a UK-based professional services firm that specialises in supporting financial services datacentres.

Company-i will be incorporated into Symantec's Global Services division as part of its consulting business. Clients of Company-i include RBS Global Banking & Markets, BSkyB and Merrill Lynch.

The Company-i team will extend the capacity and capability of Symantec's EMEA services team, focusing initially on helping UK-based firms address critical datacentre challenges, said Symantec.
