Coventry City Council has awarded a five-year contract
to Capita to deploy its Academy software in the council’s revenues
and benefits department.
Under the £700,000 contract, Capita Software Services will roll
out the system to go live early next year.
Coventry’s head of revenues and benefits Cathy Hipkin said,
“This technology will enable closer integration between our
revenues and benefits departments as well as simplified future
integration with other technologies that we may wish to take
advantage of, such as mobile or customer relationship management
systems.”
One of the Academy modules – Business Connect – enables the
revenues and benefits application to be integrated with third-party
applications, including those used by front-office council
services.
Coventry’s employees will be trained in using the software with
an e-learning tool called Skillwise.
