BT has launched a new nationwide service for small- and
medium-sized businesses to provide “the equivalent of their own IT
manager at a fraction of the cost of employing one”.
BT Business IT Manager, allows SMEs to pick and mix from a range
of options to get a level of service to suit their business.
This could range from advice over the phone and remotely running
software applications and updates, to installing PCs or networks or
providing a more complex long-term solution, said BT
A complete BT Business IT Manager package of PCs, a server and
hardware, and including installation and IT support, could cost
from £37 per user per month.
The service offers a choice of support, including proactive
monitoring and management of the customer’s network and
equipment.
The national launch of the service follows a pilot in 13 UK
regions. BT is making the new service available through a national
network of 75 independent local businesses which will use the BT
brand.
