Sun Microsystems has released a new coding preview tool
for developers.
Sun has launched the Sun Studio Express programme, which enables
C, C++ and Fortran developers to preview features in future
releases of Sun Studio.
Sun Studio supports development of C, C++, and Fortran
applications designed to run on the Solaris or Linux operating
systems using Sparc, x64, and x86 platforms.
The company says there have been about 50,000 downloads of the
free Sun Studio 11 tool in the past six months, and the next
version is expected some time next year.
The Sun Studio Express programme sees developers receiving
monthly builds of the next release of Sun Studio, and allows them
to influence the development of the solution.
