VoIP troubleshooting tool for SMEs launched
Apparent Networks has introduced a tool designed for
troubleshooting voice over IP problems in small and medium-sized
enterprises. The Appcritical SME tool does not require extensive
training or the installation of software agents, said the firm. It
can be used to evaluate the performance capacity of a network and
identify and diagnose the source of network degradation.
Unified offers remote monitoring for Nortel
Unified Group has launched a remote monitoring system for Nortel
users. The Network Watch tool enables network managers to use
remote hardware and a 24x7 network operations centre to deliver
voice, data and application monitoring. Network Watch is available
as a managed service and utilises an on-site portal device with
connection to the full range of Nortel switches, the new BCM voice
products, as well as the Nortel Passport range of data
switches.
Housing group deploys bespoke IP network
Scottish housing organisation Link Group has deployed a bespoke
IP virtual private network to link its five sites across Scotland.
The move is designed to support flexible working. The organisation
has also installed a call handling system from ntl:Telewest
Business at its new contact centre in Falkirk to improve its
customer service.
