Oracle has improved its RFID integration and management
system.
The company has upgraded Oracle Sensor Edge Server, which
supports radio frequency identification (RFID) applications.
Part of the Oracle Fusion Middleware 10g platform, Oracle Sensor
Edge Server allows users to integrate a variety of products from
existing IT infrastructures, including RFID and sensor
networks.
The upgrade includes improved integration with RFID devices,
management for RFID tag readers and printers, and better event
management.
Improvements include built-in analytics. Once data is collected
in a repository, reports are immediately available to help
employees interpret the data.
Oracle said the improvements to Oracle Sensor Edge Server would
enable firms to speed up installation of RFID systems and closely
manage their performance.
