DSG International, owner of Dixons, PC World, Currys and
The Link, has outsourced a 900-seat call centre to Capita in a
£120m seven-year deal.
All 900 staff have transferred to Capita, which will handle the
centre's three million enquiries a year. The contact centre will
handle enquiries for DSG's four subsidiary companies in the UK and
Norway.
The deal is the third outsourcing contract that DSG has signed
this year. In January, it signed a multi-million pound deal to
outsource systems development, application delivery, infrastructure
support and maintenance services to Indian supplier HCL.
Last month, it signed a contract with BT to manage all its head
office and branch networks.
