Sharp multifunction printer range extended
Sharp has extended its MX range of digital, colour
multifunctional printers. The MX-3501N and the MX-4501N provide an
integrated 80Gbyte hard disc and network authentication which
allows ID, password and e-mail address to be authenticated prior to
access. Both models will be available from the end of this
month.
Symmetrix gets new software configurations
EMC has added new software configurations to its Symmetrix DMX-3
storage system to simplify information lifecycle management. The
products include EMC IP storage software, designed to process large
files over IP networks, Centera which provides a unified view of
all files and file systems, and Rainfinity Global File
Virtualisation, a network attached storage management tool.
Lawson updating Merchandising suite
Lawson Software is working with a consortium of grocery
retailers to develop its next-generation Merchandising software
suite. Lawson is updating the Category Review, Distribution, Retail
Channel Order Management, Costs and Deals, Replenishment, Business
Organiser and Reference Maintainer applications.
Caretta Software ships GUI Design Studio
Caretta Software has begun shipping GUI Design Studio 2.0, which
aims to speed up the development of user interfaces by allowing
software designers, analysts, usability specialists and developers
to rapidly create user interface mock-ups and application
prototypes without writing any code. A free 30-day trial of GUI
Design Studio is available from Caretta's website.
Novell offers free support with SuSE Linux
Users of Novell's SuSE Linux Enterprise Server will get free
support and training bundled with the software. The deal is aimed
at SMEs and includes 24x7 support and online assistance.
