BAE sails into £100m Navy contract

A £100m contract to provide the Royal Navy with an updated shore-based warfare training capability has been awarded to BAE Systems.

The government's Defence Logistics Organisation, which is chargd with meeting the training needs of the Navy's existing fleet and the Type 45 destroyer currently under development, has told BAE it wants a system that can be easily upgraded to remain in place past 2040.
