Wednesday 04 January 2006 02:18

Business intelligence software company Business Objects plans to offer professional services aimed at vertical markets, and has hired a new head of services from consulting company Ernst & Young.

Mark Doll has been appointed senior vice-president of professional services. He was most recently a partner at Ernst & Young, where he managed the firm’s security and technology solutions group, among other duties.

Doll will report directly to chief executive John Schwarz and concentrate on expanding Business Object’s professional services globally.

Schwarz said, “Mark will lead our team to transition from product enablement services to business intelligence consultancy.”

Business Objects has numerous UK customers, with one of the latest being Staffordshire Police.
