IBM Global Services has won a $132m (£78m) IT
outsourcing deal with Spanish bank Banco Sabadell.
The ten-year deal covers the management of Banco Sabadell’s
mainframe system, its data processing centre and infrastructure
security.
The bank, Spain’s fourth-biggest, said the deal is designed to
save it $52m over the duration of the contract.
Banco Sabadell had earlier this year signed a $20m five-year IT
maintenance deal with T-Systems of Germany.
Earlier this month, IBM announced that it had won a mammoth IT
outsourcing contract with Dutch bank ABN Amro.
