The changing nature of the IT jobs market is reflected
in record growth in demand for BCS management and business systems
qualifications, the society says.
Demand for the foundation certificate in IT service management
has doubled in a year, and demand for the practitioner
qualification has grown 44%. Demand for business systems
development qualifications is also up 44%. On the technical front,
software testing qualifications have seen 20% growth.
"There are still great opportunities for certain management
skills," said BCS chief executive David Clarke. "IT professionals
are seeking to establish new skill sets in a competitive
market."
