Atos Origin and Volkswagen Ban have extended their IT
services agreement for a further five years.
Atos Worldline, an Atos Origin company, has carried out the
technical processing of over 370,000 Volkswagen Visa and
Mastercards since 1996. Currently, the IT deal includes classical
processing services, as well as extra services such as bonus
programmes.
The contract extension also covers the Sempris graphical user
interface for the card management system that Atos Worldline
recently developed. From September 2005 Volkswagen Bank will have
direct real-time access to Atos Worldline systems.
The new service is part of a professional workflow management
system. Atos said this would improve the value chain at the
financial institutions and downstream service centres and lead to a
higher added business value.
Sempris will provide an overview of all business transactions by
means of a logical step-by-step process, making it easier and
faster for system users, independent of complex mainframe tasks and
rigid prescribed application routines.
