Councils that have pioneered flexible working, CRM,
transactional services and innovative outsourcing have made the
shortlist of the prestigious Local Government IT Excellence
Awards.
The winner of the Computer Weekly supported awards will be
announced at the annual conference of Socitm, the local government
IT directors' organisation, in Edinburgh on 12 October.
The shortlisted entries were:

support flexible working.

web-based access to the council's front- and back-office
systems.

Council, for instigating the first IT outsourcing contract
commissioned jointly by two councils.
The awards are organised by Socitm with Solace and Intellect and
sponsored by Cable & Wireless, Capita IT Services, Comino,
Input and OKI Systems.
