Landesk Software has developed a version of its Landesk
Handheld Manager which supports wireless management.
Landesk Handheld Manager version 8.15 is designed to help IT
departments deploy, manage and protect the handheld devices of
mobile workforces from the Landesk Management Suite console.
The software supports asset discovery and management, software
distribution, asset monitoring, change control alerting, automated
update and device maintenance, and Landesk's handheld file exchange
technology.
Landesk said the core software suite and add-on modules for patch
management and asset management have been built on a common
architecture to improve IT management.
