Last week's high-profile bankruptcy of KPNQwest, the Internet
service provider behind Europe's largest data network, has not
damaged the credibility of the Internet as a reliable business
tool, according to the IT managers polled in this week's Computer
Weekly/ Harvey Nash Big Question.
Three quarters of respondents viewed the collapse of KPNQwest as
serious, but not something that could drag down the rest of the
network service provider industry.
"It will just act as a suitable reminder to the remaining players
to operate their businesses more professionally," said one IT
manager.
