SAP is to use WebMethods' range of adaptors to integrate with non-SAP applications, in another move to open up its stable of software.

The enterprise application company has agreed to resell the adaptors to enable customers to link SAP applications to software from companies including Oracle, PeopleSoft, i2 Technologies, JD Edwards, Lawson Software, and BroadVision, company officials said.

SAP will also resell WebMethods' electronic data interchange and other e-standards integration modules.

The deal extends an already-existing relationship between SAP and WebMethods. Their earlier agreement features SAP's bundling of WebMethods' Business Connector integration software with its applications.

WebMethods will also work with SAP on designing a standard adaptor interface for SAP Exchange Infrastructure connectivity, as well as help develop new adaptors.

The adaptors and e-standard modules will be available in SAP products by the end of the year.
